Keeping Old Memories Alive, the Value of a Chapter's Heritage

With the advent of the Historian position in the Spring Semester of 2009, building and maintaining chapter history and tradition became a search for the treasure that we Betas hold dear. A project has been underway in an attempt to revitalize some of that chapter history. The first product of this project was the Delta Kappa family tree. For decades Betas at the University of Tennessee have taken upon themselves the responsibilities of mentoring a little brother as their big brother had done for them. Have you ever been curious what that lineage has become? Did your little brother have a little brother as well as his in turn, or perhaps you're just curious who your big brother called his mentor? Finally, there is a way to see this part of our cherished history. Albeit a work in progress, the tree in its current for is updated regularly. The ultimate goal of this project is to take the tree all the way back to the chapter's founders.
