A one-time $1,000.00 scholarship is available to one male student entering the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in the fall of 2011. It is not based on need. In order to be considered, the application must be filled out completely and legibly. All applications should be postmarked or submitted online no later than noon on Friday, Aug 12th, 2011. All finalists must attend a personal interview the first week of classes. The recipient will be announced at an award ceremony to be held before classes start in the fall. The judges’ decisions are final. Lost, late, duplicate, or misdirected applications will not be considered. No applications will be returned. Applicants are not committed to or promised membership in Beta Theta Pi or any organization.
